We have an appointment

I updated on my Aug 02 boards so I'm going to copy and paste my post here to start ;)

So looks like I'm having hyperactive thyroid issues again UGH. I have been "stable" for 1 1/2yrs or so now and then Sun night started having mini anxiety attacks and felt worried like something horrid was going to happen. I went to the Dr on Mon and asked for them to draw my blood and check my thyroid. Got the results today and sure enough I'm way off. Normal is .35-5.5MAX and I'm at 25.9 UGH Maybe I"ll lose a little weight LOL Gotta have a perk to feeling like crap right!?!?!?! This also explains the horrid hairloss I'm having again. I thought it was post pregnancy related but now I'm sure it's thyroid related. Onto Kai. We're taking him to see a GI specialist in Spokane on Monday at 2:15. I had cut out all foods but oatmeal, peas, carrots, apples, and rice and he is doing GREAT! Poops have slowed to 1 every other day or so and a few of them have been "normal" consistency and almost n ormal color! Like an orangish yellow instead of this army green snot stuff. Because I want the GI to see how he reacts as of today I've gone off my total elimination diet and we'll see how he does this weekend. Last weekend I cheated and had a sub sandwich and pizza and he did have a mucusy diaper which leads me to believe he reacted definitely to one of the ingredients into my "naughty" foods. I think the reason he didn't get too grumpy on me is because his tummy has had time to heal while I"ve went onto this diet so the small cheat didn't hurt him since he was not previously irritated. I feel bad to try to make him sick by Monday but I want this specialist to see what happens to him and why I wanted to see a specialist. My Dr does not think his problems have anything to do with my diet and especially after this new TED (total elimination diet) I'm really thinking he's nuts and I'm the right one here. Gosh it sucks that I"ve gotta be self diagnosing me and my son AARRGGHHH. I don't know if GI docs do anything in regards to a food allergy but this is a lady doc we're seeing and I"m hoping when I explain everything to her I'll be able to get a referral to an allergist. I really think he's ready to start some cereal or foods but am terrified with his sensitive tummy to do anything before I talk to someone who knows what the heck they're talking about!

O
nto the rest of the day... After 2 great days at the new babysitter Kaeden had a not so great day today. This week was the boys' first week with their new babysitter Amanda. So far they've both done very well and have had great reports. Unfortunately tonight she told Steven that Kaeden got "three out of 5 stars" today.. UGH He hit one of her daughters (she has 2 little girls that are two and three yrs old) and then he wouldn't stop running and jumping around and got a 3min time out. I sure hope this isn't a trend that continues! I don't pay her well enough to have my children misbehave LOL She's watching them for less then 1/2 what a regular daycare would charge me and I can't afford to pay a penny more! Let's all hope that Kaeden just had an "off" day today and will go back to being good tomorrow! He is grounded tonight from his playstation Power Rangers game because of his behavior at Amanda's, I'm hoping that tomorrow if I remind him when he gets dropped off that he lost his game tonight he'll think twice before ignoring her 10-15 times in a row. IMO she asked way too many times and was too patient, but I'm sure she doesn't want us to think 'badly" of her if he comes home thinking she's mean. I've given her permission to punish him as she sees fit, whether that is spankings, time outs or no tv, whatever she thinks needs done in the situation.

Kai is sitting on Daddy's lap chatting up a storm right now and chewing on his toes and pulling his socks off. He's getting so "big" and grown up! Saturday night Feb 11th Kailer had his first REAL laughs. we were trying to go to bed and Kaeden was talking to Kai while I had him on my shoulder trying to pat him to sleep. Kaeden kept clapping his hands together and then crashing them into the bed and saying "boom". next think I know Kai gave two itty bitty laughs. Then two more. Then everytime Kaeden would do the "boom" Kai would break out in laughter and then stop until big brother "boomed" again. He did this for approx 1/2 hour before we could get them both to settle down and go to sleep. How perfect is it that Big brother was the first person to get real laughs from the baby? It's all beginning now ;) The long late nights of telling the boys to be quiet and go to sleep, the baby brother looking up to big brother and wanting to say and do everything just like him.... I just love it and am so excited to watch them grow together.

Also adding a few pics from the weekend of the kiddos. :) Did I mention that Quintin is now almost the same size as Kai?!?! Signing out now to cook dinner and enjoy Survivor!!!
