Birthday Party Success

So we had the boys' birthday party yesterday and I think it was a great success! Great thanks to Grandma Vicki for all of her help!!! She really rocks :) The boys had their chosen theme "Disney's Bolt" and made out like bandits with their gifts! I am so excited for all the gifts given at their party as I think our guests did a better job getting good stuff for our boys then we did LOL Steven and I went shopping Fri night for the boys cause we were at a loss as to what to get the boys so we weren't much help when people asked what the kids needed LOL They got everything from cash for their piggy banks, guns to shoot eachother with to games for their DS's. Kaeden told me today he was happy cause he got some cool stuff yesterday. That was nice to hear as he seems to always be such a negative ned. He then turned around and told me that today was a boring day and not as good as yesterday. Well DUH! It wasn't party day today LOL. We were expecting thunder showers and cooler weather and I was surprised that it was sunny and hotter then I cared for it to be. Was nice though that we didn't get rained out. We had a wonderful turn out and thank everyone who showed up to make the party so great :) We played a couple games; Pin the dog tag on the dog collar and a balloon pop and then we did some cake and ice cream as all the kids thought they were absolutely dying of heat stroke at that point, and then we did pinata which took forever and a day to bust open. Those real "mexican" pinatas are not paper mache at all, but they are made of cardboard so they last forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Must remember that next year when we are so careful to not let the big kids beat it too hard the first round LOL
After our party was over it was time to head over to Annette's party at Patrick Park and have more cake and some pop. The kids were spoiled rotten with the sugar overload and even though I have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes I did have myself some cake and ice cream yesterday and enjoyed every single bite. I did hold back and have no cake at Annette's party rather I just had a yummy ruby red squirt which was full of sugar. I must have been on the go big time though cause my sugars were not through the roof yesterday when I tested. They were higher this morning after I had only a banana for breakfast. ?? weird.
Crazy for me to think that Kaeden my baby is now 7 years old. Crazier to think that my "baby" kai is turning 4 in a little over a week! And probably craziest of all is that I am blessed to be pregnant with my 3rd little one who will be here in a couple months!
Tooth fairy visited our house this evening. Everytime I turn around I swear Kaeden is pulling a new tooth out of his head! He showed us Fri night or last night it was loose and then tonight he pulled it out.
Tomorrow morning is my ultra sound to check up on Little O and see if he's growing and catching up and if my fluid level is any better. Crossing my fingers all goes well. It was cool that he was so active while Gramma Vicki was here. She got to feel the babe moving around multiple times. Stubborn as he/she seems to be for dr's he sure cooperates well for letting other people feel him moving around in there!

My baby went off to first grade today!

Well we all got up and around at the crack of dawn this morning (Yes my kids got up at 5:30am on their own!! ugh) and got ready to take Kaeden for his first day of school. Kai and I walked him to his classroom and met up with his teacher since we missed back to school night last night. She seems super nice and I think he's gonna do great! He was off and playing outside before Kai and I were done talking to the teacher. Needless to say kai was not very happy that he did not get to stay and go play on the toys as well.

Kai and I grabbed some McD's for breakfast and now are at home in the silence wondering what to do with ourselves? I am so tired and just want a small catnap. Wondering if kai will let me sneak one in......... LOL I might give it a try. Heck he was up so early he might even join me! If he's going to nap I would prefer he get it done and over with nice and early. My fear is he's gonna try to fall asleep on me around 3-4-5ish and that will not be good news for our family ;) He'll be up all night long and our bedtime right now is 7:30 as we try to get into a school routine!

Kai is already wondering when Daddy and Kaeden will be back.... Poor guy isn't gonna know what to do with himself for a bit.

30 weeks pregnant

Wow biggest slacker in the world of blogging.. yes this is me ;) It's been 8 weeks since my last update and lots has happened with this pregnancy.

Went to my July 13th u/s and baby still was stubborn :p Kaeden got bored with the u/s and they still didn't get everything they needed so I was scheduled for ANOTHER u/s on Aug 17th. Went to the Aug 17th appt and found out that my Little O is still being stubborn. After all of these u/s's I still have no good profile shots or good face shots. Also found out that part of the reason for needing a repeat u/s was that my fluid is measuring low and baby is measuring a bit on the small side. Fluid went up from my July u/s however it's still on the low end and they want to keep a close eye on Little O. We go in yet again on Aug 31st for ANOTHER u/s to check on this kid. Go figure the one baby that we are NOT finding out the sex and this kid keeps making me go in for u/s and stay strong!!! Not an easy thing to do!!! I guess I will know one way or another what this baby is in the next 7-10 weeks so it would be silly to give in to my curiosity on Monday and peek. I am just praying that baby is healthy and growing and fluid is up come Monday and that Little O gives us all the face shots and profile shots and hand and foot shots that we need!!!!!!!!!! Also managed to not only fail my 1hr glucose test but I failed the 3hr as well and have been diagnosed with Gestational diabetes :( I was sure I failed the 1hr due to my mocha that morning, but I guess not :( Now I am poking myself 4 times a day to check sugar and dont' get to see the nutritionist until Sept 9th!!! so far away! Just winging it until then. Been doing my best and trying to go on walks in the evenings etc. Just wanna make everything healthy if possible! It is a tad frustrating that this is the pregnancy that I have gained the least weight and stopped smoking and then Ih ave these problems... but it will all work out in the end. Little O is growing though and loves to roll and kick and wiggle and give me problems with my right back ribs!!!!! I am loving his movements so much and dread knowing that it's my last time to feel this. I just sit with my hands on my belly and enjoy my one on one time. He either loves or hates my rocking chair LOL It seems that everytime I sit in it he starts wiggling up a storm. I hope that if by some miracle this kiddo comes out a girl in the future they don't get mad at me for referring to her as "him" for the first 9mo of their life ;) I'm having more braxton hicks earlier then I remember having with either of the other 2 pregnancies. Nothing painful, just some tightening. Seems to happen lots when sitting in this chair at the laptop LOL Yes I finally purchased myself a laptop and a DSLR camera YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday Steven the boys and I all got to meet Riley and had a great afternoon. It was wonderful to watch all 3 brothers playing and getting along so nicely. Riley reminds me so much of Kaeden! It's crazy how similar their personalities are. I am excited to get to know him and hope to build a relationship with him. It was nice to know that he was here meeting up with Steven Kaeden and Kailer and KNOWING that they are his blood. The boys thought it was great and are ready to visit with him again! He really wanted to stay here and wasn't happy to leave so that was a good start. I hope this grows into something wonderful!

So thank god for Grandma Vicki! She's been such a help gathering and purchasing stuff to spoil the boys rotten and give them a rocking birthday party this coming Saturday. Kaeden turns 7 on Saturday and Kailer turns 4 Sept 8th... amazing and insane the way time has flown. Everything I planned on purchasing she's purchased and it's such a big help. Mom I appreciate your help and am so thankful for all you do! you have made this week MUCh easier on me then I had planned on it being. The boys both wanted a Disney's Bolt birthday theme so it should be a fun afternoon. After their party at noon we will head over to Patrick Park for Annette's 4th birthday party at 3pm.

Tomorrow is the last day of Summer Vacation. Kaeden starts first grade on Thurs! I'm so excited for him to go back to school and to get into a routine again. I think he's getting bored being at home through the day and him and his brother are fighting fighting fighting! Looking forward to MOPS starting soon as well!

Hit 22 weeks yesterday!

Over 1/2 done with the pregnancy HOORAY! Kidlet is wiggling around and I'm able to feel him on the outside usually once or twice a day if I am concentrating and holding really still. I don't even think I"ve listened with the doppler in a week or two because I feel him in there movin around.

It's been a great month since the last update. Kids got out of school June 11th and we got the girls. We took all kids camping at Uncle Joel's in Fall City and had a blast! The drive wasn't so fun as tate got carsick on the drive up and Trin got carsick on the way home so that was a bummer but the rest was great. Joel and Carrie have a great place in Fall city one of the cutest little towns I've ever seen! Perfect for us to visit and get our camping in at the same time~! The kids played in the river, ran around with their cousins, roasted marshmallows and had just a fun time. Lindsay Taylor and Sydney met up with us and camped as well which was super cool! Also there was Grandpa Lauro and Grandma Lupe. This was Steven's first camping trip ever with his Dad so he was happy about that. I'm happy we're creating fun camping memories for our kiddos!

Tatum went with me on June 15th to my big ultra sound of the little one in my belly and had lots of questions for the ultra sound tech. Then she had a question for me... Once Daddy anD I decided we wanted another baby, she's confused as to how we made it happen? I am letting her Mommy answer that one! LOL I've got myown kids I get to explain that too. Melissa can have the pleasure of explaining it to her daughters. Baby looked good and we stayed strong and did NOT find out the sex. I'm still going with boy but everyone else says girl. I think they all want a girl so badly they are trying to wish it a girl LOL We have to go back on July 13th for another ultra sound cause baby was being a bit stubborn with his position and wouldn't give a few good pics of the spine etc. so we need to go look again. I'm hoping this time around for a good profile shot as last time he only gave us the creepy skeletor face shots and even those were not that great with his position!

So this morning Kailer lifted my shirt up, looked at my belly and said "Momma it's like Santa Claus!" Oh joy... LOL He loves to love on my belly. talk to my belly and in my button. Tickle the baby. Pretend the baby kicked him in the head etc. He's super excited for this baby and can't stay away from my bellyfor too long during the day ! I'm so glad that both my boys seem to not have jealous bones when it comes to younger siblings!

On a bummer of a note now Kai has broken a window in the boys' bedroom AND a closet door. When we bought those closet doors 3 years ago before moving into this house I had a feeling mirrored closet doors in my boys bedroom was not the smartest thing in the world... But they lasted great for 3 years! Until this morning. One was off the track and Kai knocked it into the dresser and it shattered. It is currently sitting in the room waiting for Daddy to get home from work so he can help me clean it up! Oh well. 3 years is better then I expected! lol

Well off of here I should go. Baby is bouncing on my bladder trying to wiggle some McCafe Mocha out of me and I have some Farm Town to tend to before cleaning house and making a shopping list! ;) YAY :p

18 weeks tomorrow!

Well I am approaching 1/2 done with this pregnancy already! Finally 2 weeks ago I started to feel human again and it's been wonderful :) All Dr appts have gone excellent although at my 16 week appt Doc couldn't find the heartbeat with the doppler. I was not concerned since I had just listened to it loud and clear at home with my doppler so he opted to hop back and check the kidlet out via ultra sound. I never turn down a chance to look at my little miracle! He/she was in there kicking and boxing around healthy as could be :) I got another pic of kidlet which I always love to get. I've had an ultra sound at every appointment so far ;) So it's nice to see the kid grow and change! My next appt is June 15th and we go in for our big ultra sound. Since we're not finding out the sex it will be just another chance to see how much our lil one has grown! I am still not feeling kidlet move around much if I am at all. Sometimes I think I might be but others I am unsure and think it could be gas so I'm not considering myself to have felt movement yet at this time. HOpefully in the next couple of weeks I"ll feel it though! It took awhile to feel it witH kailer and I don't even remember when I felt it regularly with Kaeden.. that was a long time ago! lol

Both boys are excited to have a baby on the way and both must give Mommy AND baby belly kisses good night and good-bye. It still hasn't sunk in to me that we will be a family of 5 before the end of 09! Maybe it will when kidlet lets me feel him/her moving around in there regularly. Heck now that I'm feeling better I forget I'm pregnant 1/2 the time! I just feel like a lazy Mommy not a preggo Mommy LOL It is a bit difficult knowing I don;t get to know that this is a boy or a girl and know what I need to shop for and know what names to concentrate on. I feel like maybe that is why it doesn't seem as real this time around? By this point with Kai I knew he was a boy and even if I wasn't feeling him move I was able to refer to him as our lil man. Now I just have the baby in me... not your sister or your brother. But it is exciting to know that when the baby is born I'll get to hear it's a ??????? and I'll be surprised by the answer! (boy I just know it)

Memorial day weekend Steven ended up getting an extra day off so we met up with my parents at their beach house in Lincoln City. LOOOOONG drive but it was fun! Bummer that it was windy every single day we were there. But it was great that my boys didn't destroy Daddy's beach house and things went pretty smoothly :) We brought home lots of great memories and a van full of sand ;) We went to the tide pools at Yaquina and Ripley's, Wax Works and Undersea Gardens in Newport. The dogs were able to go with us and they had a blast too! Sally LOVED to climb the rocks at the tide pools!! I was surprised at her determination :) We also spent the day at Taft Beach digging in the sand and playing in the freezing cold water and burying my boys leaving only their heads peeking out LOL THey thought that was pretty cool. My Dad tooK Steven and I to the casino to lose some money and even shared some of his winnings with us to lose as well. It was fun and relaxing. That night we all went to Taft Beach and had a fire with the drift wood and roasted hot dogs and smores on the beach. Dad took the boys agate hunting and they found one or two. We went yard saleing with my Dad on Friday and wow can that Grandpa walk! I was tuckered out by the end of the day LOL It was a great trip and I did not want to come home but alas, life calls and home we came.

Last weekend we decided we needed a new pool for the kids since theirs popped last summer at the end of the year. I bought the small pool, had 2nd thoughts and wanted Steven to look at a slightly larger pool and we ended up coming home Friday night with a 15' by 4' pool LOL James came this weekend to hang with us and helped us with our pool project.! The men tore down the swingset and James even managed to hit himself in the back of the head with his claw hammer during his manly swinging LOL oops! Dont' worry he's ok. Got the set down and raked the ground, set up the pool and started filling... Yikes it was unlevel by way too much. Drained the pool and Sat morning steven started over with the leveling. He was my hero. I know his back was killing him and it was hot as hell out there yet he pushed on. Got it much more level the 2nd time around. Not perfect but it was fine. Started filling the pool at 11:30ish... .Finished at 9ish.. WOW that is not going to be a fun water bill! lol I'm dreading seeing what it turns out to be. Let the kids splash in th epool while it filled and they had a blast. Yesterday morning I was awoken to breakfast in bed from Steven! First time I've ever been served breakfast in bed like that. what a treat :) Then we started doing some house cleaning, yard work and chores and made plans with Heather and Eric to have them over for a bbq and pool party with the kids! Had a wonderful day hanging out with friends and the kids swam and played hard. Unfortunately my poor boys got sunburnt and this is the first time Kaeden has ever been in pain from a sunburn ;( Poor kid! Steven and I decided to ahve him stay home from school today between allergies and sunburn. He was bummed he is missing PE today but he complains every move he makes so PE probably wouldn't have worked well for him today anyway~! We finished off a great weekend watching the move Mall Cop last night. We both thought it was a good movie and then off to bed we went!

And now here I am on Monday morning avoiding my chores. I need to clean. I need to really clean good and I don't want to. Kai spilled sugar on the floor last night so I should sweep and mop the kitchen etc. it just doesn't sound fun to me at all! I also really need to kick my butt into gear and start decluttering to add to our yard sale heap in the overflowing garage and start organizing the garage to have a yard sale. This is something we need to do very badly. Our garage cannot be walked through and most of it is yard sale stuff! Soooooooo we need to make some extra money and clean out that garage before we put it off for another year. LOL

Did I mention I still haven't smoked? YAY ME! April 18th was my last day as a smoker. I have now spent a weekend at Lindsays watching her brother and his wife smoke while we played poker and yesterday had a pool party and bbq with our smoker friends and I didn't have any smokes YAY. They dont' stink like they used to unfortunately and they almost smell a bit good, but it's nice to be free from the cigarette and am planning on staying that way! Still haven't finished reading that quit smoking book LOL But I am doing well.

13 weeks 5 days

I am now officially into the 2nd trimester of this pregnancy YAY! Still feeling pretty cruddy which is a bummer, dont' remember feeling quite this icky with the boys. Think I'm too old to be pregnant or something? lol

I'm 15 days smoke free and Steven is 12 days beer free YAY! That may change today if we BBQ with his Dad as I don't think he'll be able to go beer free, but as long as he's making that effort at home in the evenings I'm happy! It'll save us much money and hopefully our health in the future!

Yesterday I got to play with a baby :) Cassie came over with all of her kiddos and I got to hold and love on Krissy for awhile. All of my kids were in love with the baby as well which was great. I love seeing them all so excited about the idea of a new baby to love and take care of in our family! Krissy just turned a month old. She was born March 30th. She's gaining weight quickly and Momma says she's chunky but to me she looks awfully tiny LOL

Trying to get some motivation and energy. Where did it all go? I cannot remember being so dang LAZY with my other pregnancies. SeriousLY!?!??!?! This is ridiculous. I'd be perfectly content to just lay in bed and watch TV and nap off and on all dy long if I could get away with it. ... And sometimes I do!

Kaeden had a sleepover last night at Bryce's house so I"m waiting to see when we will be going to pick him up. Still no clue what to do with our day... I've been up for 2 hours and still haven't moved from my bedroom other then to pee and grab breakfast! L-A-Z-Y M-E....... Isn't it time for the tiredness to go away, the sickies to back off and regular energy to resume in this pregnancy?? I am anxiously awaiting energy filled days. I had ONE last week and really want to have more!

Time to come out with my surprise!

I have held off on updating the blog with my new "news" until I made it far enough along that the world wouldn't find out before I was ready for them to.

Yes I am expecting another baby. I am so excited and over the moon. This was a very much wanted pregnancy and I am super ready to be the Mommy of 3 kiddos!

I turned 12 weeks yesterday and had an ultra sound on Monday where my baby blob showed off and danced up a storm for me and Kailer! He was wiggling all around and flipping and flopping. It was amazing. I never had an u/s with the boys that I could see their whole body so well like that. I am due Nov 3rd.

I have had more morning sickness with this pregnancy then I remember having with the boys, but after reading the blog when I was pregnant with kai I guess I was a bit miserable with him as well LOL I guess your brain erases all those yucky memories so you're not afraid to reproduce more then once LOL

Once again I'm hooked up to a heart monitor only this time I wear it for a month and hope for an episode to happen so that I can record it and send it in. I see a cardiologist May 4th.

The last time I had a cigarette was Saturday at 4:30pm..... It is now Wed ... So far so good. I feel just yucky enough that they are not appealing to me at all right nwo and I hope it stays that way~! Steven is going to try to cut back and stop his drinking while I stop my smoking. We can buy a new car with all our saved money if we succeed! lol I haven't really announced that I've quit smoking to anyone as I am so afraid of failing and then having to say I am smoking again. I have never been able to stop smoking. Even when pregnant with the boys. I am really hoping this time around I can do it. Wish me luck I suppose...... And don't kill me if I fail please.... anytime smoke free is better then none right?

Everyone wants this baby to be a girl. I'd love a girl. I just know in my heart it will be a boy and am already referring to the baby as a "he". We are NOT going to find out the sex of the baby this time around! Being that I barely talked Steven into letting me have a 3rd child I'm pretty sure this is my last pregnancy and I want to experience the surprise of what it is in the delivery room at least one time. Either way we'll have clothes for the baby so I'm not too concerned. As I said... he'll be a boy ;) Now the challenge is once again to come up with a boy name that Steven and I both like... oh wow this is a tough thing for the two of us!!! First name needs to start with "K" and middle name start with "S". of course we'll have a girl name or two as well, just don't think we'll need it.

Time to go help with dinner. Will try to update more often now that I can type about the pregnancy and not worry about who reads this ;)

My First night without my baby!!

Well we all made a huge step as a family Sunday night... Steven Kaeden and I let Kailer go stay the night with Grandpa Olivas and his girlfriend Lupe. MAN was that tough~!! I didn't want him to go... Kaeden was bawling and just freaking out in general about please dont' let him leave us... I'm glad that Kaeden was freaking out so much because it helped me and forced me to be the "strong" one.... Or I would have been a basket case LOL

It all started when they were getting ready to go home after bbq'ing at our house and Lupe asked Kai if he wanted to go with them. She said she'd get him ice cream and popcorn and they had toys etc. I was thinking NO NO NO but didn't say anything. Kailer decided that YES he wanted to go! I figured Daddy would say no and if he didn't then I would... but next thing I know Daddy is packing pj's for Kai and he's super excited. I told Steven I didn't like this one bit and he told me to step up and say something. So I took Kai aside while Kaeden and him were in my room and he asked if we were going bye bye with him. I explained that no Mommy, Daddy, Kaeden, Tatum and Triniti were all going to stay here at our house, and if he went it would be him going all by himself, none of us were going. He looks at me and says "I KNOW, I'm going bye bye though".... How do you inform your excited 3yr old that he can't go cause you're overprotective and don't wanna give him up? lol I had to let him go at this point. Daddy went and installed the carseat in the car and then asked me to help finish it up and check it. While checking it Kai just sat there so ready to go. I buckled him in and then he gave Daddy a kiss and hug and then gave Mommy a kiss and hug. I went in for a 2nd kiss and he tells me "Mommy I already kissed you".... ARGH Where did my baby go????

After they left Kaeden and I snuggled on the couch for an hour or so and I couldn't help but tear up and cry a bit. Kaeden was sniffling himself.

About 4-5 hours after he was gone we all adjusted and were doing much better LOL He of course was doing great and having a blast at Grandpa's as they had called to check in. Steven and I decided to watch our last movie in the quiet and silence and then off to bed we went.. Steven fell asleep with Kaeden and I dozed on the couch until I was totally uncomfortable and had to go into bed alone..... I LOVE being in bed alone when everyone is home, but it was a tad empty knowing Kai wasn't in the house at all.

I must admit it was nice getting ready for work kid free Monday morning... Grandpa and Lupe brought Kai back around 2:30 after I got off work and he was happy to be home. He was grumpy cause he was tired and just snuggled me a bit. That was nice. I did find out that Sunday night at bedtime he at least asked "Where is my Mommy?" Of course once they told him I was at home and he was staying there he was perfectly content and fell asleep on Grandpa's shoulder, but it was nice to know that I was not completely forgotten that evening ;) lol

Yes I am a slacker!

Ok I cannot believe I went this long between blogs posts! I would update from Sept but that's such a long time ago! Long story short
Kailer turned 3 in Sept and he's my sweetheart. He loves to hug on me and tell me he's so glad I"m here and give me many kisses and hugs. Unfortunately he thinks I am a jungle gym as well and sometimes I feel like he is my own personal leach! We didnt' start preschool yet cause he wasn't 3 before the deadline, but we do go to MOPS regularly and he calls it his "school" and loves to go to play with playdoh!!! one thing Mommy doesn't really do at home is playdough ;) So it give him something to look forward to! The first few times at MOPS were rough and he cried a lot but he's quickly warmed up and now does great! I am so proud of him... As he would say to me "Mom I am so proud of you". It's another of his new favorite sayings.

Kaeden started Kindergarten and is doing great! He goes all day Mon thru Friday which was an adjustment for our family. But it was an adjustment in a good way. As of Sept Kaeden has started sleeping in his OWN ROOM all night long and goes to bed at a decent time of 8-9ish. Earlier if he had a rough morning and didn't want to get up. I honestly cannot believe we ever got him out of our bed, nor can I believe he is going to bed before 10-midnight LOL It's been great! Because big brother has a bedtime, Kailer now has a bedtime as well. He is a bit more challenging, but 6 out of 7 nights he seems to fall asleep on his own in our bed so it's nice to have a few hours to ourselves with both boys sleeping!

Ross is still living here, moved in at the end of Aug. His boys moved in full time in Jan and now seem to be back to part time now that Marie moved back to Moses Lake. Time will tell what happens in that department........

I am working again for the tax season at H&R Block and am very excited and happy to report that I have made it through almost the whole season with a great babysitter and no major health problems YAY!!!!!!! My thyroid got off a bit the first week of work but I recognized the signs and symptoms immediately and nipped it in the butt before it got out of control :)

Found out I was pregnant Christmas eve and miscarried a week later. That was a bummer. But life will go on and is going on.


My niece Peightin Linn was born Dec 8th and is growing so much. I wish I could go visit them but $$$$ is tight for both families so that hasn't happened yet. Grandma keeps me updated with many pics though and she's a doll!!!

Well I am going to sign out for now, but felt after so long I should post something. Once I get one post down the guilt of not posting seems to be not so bad and I am more likely to post about little things LOL I start to feel overwhelmed when I go so long without posting and then continue to postpone posting! TTYS
