Sometimes I need to remember

That it's OK To post quick blog posts and I don't have to come on here and tell every little detail of my life!  So today I shall do that.  I will love looking back and reading all the small things I post today and tomorrow and remembering those moments.

Today Kinleigh and I have been out and about all day.  We spent the morning at MOPS and the afternoon at Walmart and Mandolins.  I decided I needed to update my makeup bag (That stuff is probably as old as Kaeden LOL)  And maybe try wearing it more often.  I seem to feel good about myself when I put it on, so I will try and make an effort to do myself up a bit more often.  Tomorrow I am getting my hair done so all the more reason to make an effort in my appearance!  Kinleigh's been a little easier to handle today. That girl is turning into quite the little spitfire and I fear we are in big trouble!  She's getting mouthy....the problem is I can't help but laugh and smile at some of the things that come out of her mouth even when they are NOT ok for her to be saying to me! Time to put the laughs and smiles away and put my Mommy Foot Down with her little diva like attitude.  Can't believe my baby will be FOUR next month!

I had big plans to get the kids bedrooms all clean and tidy this week, but that didn't happen.  Oh well, we have the girls this weekend and probably will have extra kids over at some point, so it's probably better if I wait to clean til next week anyway.  The rooms are making me crazy insane with how unorganized and dirty they are, but I'll just concentrate on MY stuff and deal with theirs next week.

Yesterday morning Kinleigh decided to make her own breakfast.... She succeeded but in a very messy way! She also ran herself a bath, got herself out of the bath, and told me that she doesn't like to be alone and if I want her to stay in her room alone she needs a boy with her. Argh I think she's gonna be like her Momma and have boyfriends coming out of her ears when she gets into school....yikes.....

Mommy and Kinleigh dolled up and ready for our day!  Of course when Momma puts makeup on Kinleigh thinks she needs some as well ;)

Ouch, it's been 5mo since my last post.... OOPS

Ok I lied, this year won't be the year I stay on top of blogging ;)  So here's a few highlights of the last 5mo.
May just flew by.  Every weekend was busy with SOMETHING or other.
Kaeden up at bat

My baseball player

Kailer up at bat

I love his face when he realized he hit the ball and it was time to run!

June~
June 1st Steven and I were married.  It was a beautiful day and we had a lovely wedding.  So many of our friends and family showed up to make it the perfect day.  I cannot thank everyone for their help in pulling this all together enough!!!!!  I plan to make a wedding album someday so I won't bombard the blog with pics of that day :)

Ok onto July :)

Birthday Season begins!  Tatum turned the big One Three! We have an official teenager in the house.  We also had two big camping trips in July... both of which had some crazy accidents.  We had a blast, enjoyed every moment with our friends and family and I'm also pretty sure we were "camping cursed".  First camping trip July 13th Steven and Kaeden had an accident on a four wheeler causing Steven to gash open his knee and end up in the ER for 5+ hours in Ellensburg.  Thank god things have worked out for us and he is healing nicely, the bill is taken care of thanks to the state and I can finally breathe again!  Kaeden had no major injuries, just small scratch and a big bruise...However it did scare the crap out of him to see his Dad like that.  Two weeks later we went on a camping trip with a huge group of people up above Cle Elum and for the most part it was an awesome trip.... But my bestie Lindsay managed to fracture her ankle while going off the beaten path in the dark against Kayla's advice :p  So July was most definitely an interesting and busy month for us!  The summer just flew as we were always busy with friends family and injuries ;)
Happy Birthday Tate... You crazy kids.

Twas the summer of mohawks around here!

Awesome campsite at the Clockum .

The kids were OBSESSED With the four wheelers.

We ate well :) The men were great cooks.

This baby hummingbird kept hanging out on our camp chairs! We even got to see it's Momma come feed it!

My hubby home and not a happy camper..... Literally LOL

Camping trip #2~  Had an amazing river with these great rock walls that were built (We added another) so the kids could go play without floating away. It was awesome.  Kaeden did lose his flip flops though ;)

Part of the campers and campsite.  We had many families here this weekend and were spread out all over :)

My Kinleigh is ALWAYS into something... even while camping... Looked over and this is what we see.....

August ~
Birthdays and Back To School...
Triniti turned 12 Aug 5th, Riley 11 August 7th and Kaeden 11 August 29th.  I have no photos of Triniti or Riley's birthday, they were taken on Steven's Cell Phone.  Joint birthday party for the boys labor day weekend. Went great.  Did it at Lyons park for a change this year and got to have a pinata again thanks to trees!  The kids had a great time and I baked the cake and Gramma Vicki decorated it ;)  The kids first day of school was Kaeden's birthday. Oh yes and we found a dog at the park on Triniti's birthday and brought him home to keep him safe while we looked for his owner.  Next day I located the owner.... and they asked if we wanted to keep him!!!!  He's the best behaved dog ever.  Male Boston Terrier named Buddy.  Kinleigh named him Buddy Rogers and it's stuck ;)  Our whole family is over the moon happy with him in it.  He's an older dog 8-9yrs old, but amazing personality, manners etc.  My girl dogs could take some lessons for sure!

Annual Back to school photos

Gramma Vicki brought Kinleigh Tap Shoes.....

Decorating her masterpiece.

Figured I should show off at least one picture of myself since you so rarely know that I'm even around for my childrens lives except for the fact that I'm the one taking all those photos you see.

After the birthday party we went to our last day at Splashzone before it closed for the season and Kinleigh showed off her fish like swimming abilities.  She does spins, and mermaid swims and jumps in over her head as long as someone is there to catch her after she pushes back up from the bottom.  Her skills amazed me how quickly they grew this year.  Maybe next year I'll have more days with a book at the pool and not worrying about my brave little swimmer!

And she was pretty much obsessed with Goggles.

Showing a trick.

My nieces on the first day of school

Love this

My kiddos... How I love them... oh and the famous photo bomber Taylor in the background there LOL

And now we're at the end of September.  The boys are both back into sports. Kaeden is playing tackle football and Kailer is playing Flag Football.  Kailer turned 8 on Sept 8th, he thought it was cool that it was his "special" birthday.  We had a crappy incident so he's back in counseling again.  I'm also working on having him evaluated for ADHD.  I worry about that boy and want to give him every chance in life to succeed! Steven and I have fought allergies the last month something TERRIBLE.  I could smell ZERO for almost a whole month. I have never been so happy to smell things both good and bad in my life!!!!  Steven was hit with asthma like a mac truck ran him over.  Thank god we currently have insurance cause he's been in the Dr more in the last month then he has in the last 12 years we've been together!  He's still not up to 100% but at least he's doing better.  Working when you can't breathe, physical labor, is definitely a challenge.  We are the luckiest family ever to have him.  He does so much for us and we can never repay him.  Even while sick and not able to breathe after a 10+ hour work day he takes kids to practice and sticks around to watch and help if at all possible.  Seriously amazes me.  I thought I was losing my insurance in August but found out I get it for another 6mo.-1yr. So I decided to use it as much as possible.  I got my tetanus shot updated, got myself a flu shot, and got the fibroma cut off my tongue. That wasn't a fun process, but I was relieved to get the results saying  yes it is a fibroma and not something dangerous! :D  Now if it grows back I won't have to have the fear I have tongue cancer.  Photography has been picking up and now that Lindsay finally got that boot off her foot it will make photoshoots much easier ;)  This weekend is Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkston concert YAHOO!!!!! 5 friends in a minivan with Trish as our DD.... it's gonna be epic!!!! And then in two weeks Steven Lindsay and I take off for VEGAS.  Holy cow this is all coming up so quickly!!!!!!  If I don't update again before the year is over I promise to come back for a years end summary before 2014 ;)

During the Seahawks game on the 15th we got a HUGE storm through here and our tree was laying on power lines and sparking!!! That storm gave Steven some great overtime.

Kaeden playing Center again this year.

He was a bit dwarfed by #79 and more then a little intimidated.  I told him he needs to just get in there and be mean!!!!!

Kai taking after his brother :D

Running in a touchdown!

Oops... 2013 is flying by and I haven't posted!

Well the beginning of 2013 was miserable to say the least.  We dealt with issues that ranged from issues with our children to worrying if Steven would have a job from day to day.  In Jan the shop sold and Steven did get to keep his job but put applications in elsewhere just in case.  The 2nd week of Feb the world lost a great man.  Mike Macleod Steven's boss for 8yrs passed away in his sleep while on vacation in Mexico with his wife and best friends.  It was beyond a shock to get that news and it still doesn't feel real.  We had issues with Mike, but don't you always have issues with someone you work with side by side day in day out?  But when it came right down to it Mike, Deb, and the kids have been family for years and it was a terrible loss.  Shortly after Mike passed away Steven was offered a job with Basin Tree Service.  It was scary to jump from what he has known and done for 11 years now, but he made the jump and it's been great for our family so far.  Our whole lives were rearranged and schedules changed up quite a bit as he has to get up at 4am. I am now responsible for morning routines with the kids ... I was worried it wouldn't go well, but I am actually enjoying it! I've become a better Mom.  I make my man's lunch each evening and am forced to pick up slack where I was slacking before so that Steven doesn't have to deal with stuff after working a hard 10hr day.  For now he's working 4 10's and we love it! He's getting to be more involved with the kids and their school activities which is awesome :)  The loss of Mike and the start of a new more dangerous job pushed us to start re-evaluating our lives.  We decided after a 9yr engagement and after almost 12yrs together it is time for us to take the big step to tie the knot!  We are getting married June 1st.  Things went from going to the courthouse alone .... to now having a wedding and reception in Heather's backyard with all our family and friends.  At first I was hesitant to do any type of wedding knowing that is not what Steven wanted at all, but now I'm getting a bit excited about it ;)  Steven will just have to suck it up and enjoy the wedding... it may not be HIS first wedding, but it is MY first and hopefully ONLY wedding :) The kids are excited and will all be in the wedding as our "wedding party".  Last weekend my Mom came up to do wedding planning and we got lots of decorations figured out, ordered up outfits for the kids to wear Etc.  Hopefully it all comes together in the next 5 or 6 weeks and all goes smooth!  Let's pray for a nice day June 1st since its outside ;)
Well this has turned into one long paragraph... what terrible english skills ;)  Oh well, it's my blog I'll do what I want LOL  Both of my boys have started Baseball and our weeks are fully crazy and fun :)  Running here there and everywhere with scouts and baseball and PTO and Photography and the list goes on.... I was relieved for Tax Season 2013 to end on Monday as it frees up some time for me and takes a little stress off.  Now to get Photography Season 2013 to pick up so I can make some money and buy new stuff LOL  Every penny I make right now just goes straight back into the business, but hopefully patience and perserverance will pay off!
Onto some pics to show how our year has been, and hopefully I'll keep up here just a little bit better. Heck I didn't even order my 2012 blog book like I normally do... I guess I'll just order a 2012/2013 book next Jan ;)

My punk rocker posing for me with her Joe Dirt haircut ;)

My Loves

I was missing doing photography so played around and snuck some shots of my little lady who was busted with Big Brothers game of Battleship.

Couldn't resist snapping a shot of the boys playing together nicely!

Working on Derby Cars for scouts! love this pencil Kaeden created.

Kai wanted an Old Fashioned Car

Just cause I like this pic

All winter we were hit left and right with bug after bug!  This was a particularly bad spell so we boiled all toothbrushes and lysol and sanitizer were our best friends.

My sick Kai guy with his sidekick Jinxi.

Feb brought the Blue and Gold Banquet. Kaeden did the speaking :) Proud Mommy Moment.

Baby girl was so excited for the weather to be nice enough to play outdoors!!!! Her favorite thing is getting down and dirty.

With Daddy's new job comes having to change our own oil! he decided it was time to teach his boys how to do this.

He felt pretty dang cool ;)

I'm taking photos of Notaras Lodge so that we can have a room on our wedding night.  Here is Kinleigh with her camera getting down to work as well ;)

And of course she says "Mom take a picture of me!! And poses ;)"

Easter Weekend marked the 1yr anniversary of Collin passing away.  In memory of Superhero Collin all around the world people who loved him did a balloon release with balloons in his favorite colors Red and Blue for Mario.

I think this will be a great embarassing photo to show a girlfriend someday ;)

Steven holding the balloons with his SuperHero Collin bracelet that he NEVER takes off.

RELEASE

Egg Hunt in Hermiston.  Kids are waiting in line very patiently to ride the horse.

He had this happy cheesy grin the ENTIRE ride!

So did she! Kai and Kinleigh LOVED the horse rides.  Kaeden was too cool or something?

They had petting zoos

And carnival type games. Such a fun thing for the church to do for the community. The kids always love going to it.

Egg Coloring at Uncle Jared and Aunt Tammy's house

Kaeden was "too old" to color eggs.  He did color two, one for him and one for Aaron and then went and holed back up in Aaron's room where the xbox and Call of Duty game were ;)

Loving the post egg coloring hands!

Cousins. I love how opposite they are, it cracks me up!  They got along awesome though :D

Doing a happy dance? No idea LOL  But they had a blast hanging out together as well and that's all that matters!

Sydney's 9th birthday photoshoot. We went out at 7am and it was COLD but she rocked it!

Pretty much my all time favorite photo of her :D

And Kinleigh and I embraced a rainy day and went out to get some fun pics :) I haven't edited many up yet, but here are the two I have done.

Reminds me of Holly Hobbie ......
