I am officially saying that at 5 days short of 9mo old Kinleigh is mobile :( :) It's a bittersweet moment. I so love seeing my little ones learn new things and grow. It's one of my all time favorite parts of being a parent. On the other hand it's sad knowing my last baby is leaving the stages of immobility and working towards toddlerhood! Yesterday she took her first "crawls" and today she's got it figured out. By the end of the weekend I have a feeling she'll be scooting everywhere much more quickly then I want!
The boys are now discovering the joys of a mobile baby sister this morning LOL As much as they love her Kai was not impressed that she was able to crawl over and snag his bowl of oatmeal that was sitting beside him while they were playing the wii ;) Time to put stuff UP and on shelves and out of little hands way!
Last night was a sleepless night. Kinleigh started with a small runny nose yesterday afternoon and last night it was full blown sticky boogers that make eating near impossible and really tick her off! What a lovely start to the weekend. Hoping it goes away quickly this time around! Her 9mo well baby appt is next week so I'll talk to the doc about it then if she's not any better.
Must go check on baby. I hear giggles coming from the kitchen!~

Busy amazing weekend
Had a great weekend. Papa ended up getting Friday off so we took the family to splashzone for the afternoon. It was fun and the boys had a great time. Kinleigh is not as brave as the boys were however and did not care to be splashed. She much preferred hanging out on the towel in the grass munching on a big pretzel ;)
Saturday morning was spent yard saleing where I scored pretty good on some clothes for the girls and Kaeden. Nothing like a sack of clothes for 6.50! After the yard sales we loaded up the family as did Lindsay and went downtown to hang out in the heat and play on the blow up slides for the Basin Summer Sounds. Was hot but fun. By Sat night we were pretty tuckered out and red however! Bill and Misty returned from Hawaii a married couple and had a concert at the gorge to attend so they came and spent the night Sat night with us.
Tonight Kinleigh decided to pull herself to a standing position all by herself on her walker! She is growing up so fast! She goes in next week for her 9mo well baby check and I can't wait to see how she's grown! She is an amazing baby girl and we love her to pieces. She's sitting and gets on her foot and knee but no crawling yet! Daddy and I were proud to see her stand up on that walker but it was a bittersweet moment. She'll be cruising furniture before she's crawling and I really like my baby staying my immobile baby ;) I will not be encouraging her to keep practicing her new skill !
I know it's been forever since an update and I am sorry for the infrequent posts. Life just seems to jump in my way! Last month my Mom treated Kinleigh and I to a dream come true. We flew to Missouri and met up with Aunt Pam and Aimee and drove down to Great Grandma Velma's so she could meet my little Lady K. Grandma and Grandpa were already in Missouri so we were able to do 5 generation pictures! It was tough at first to leave my boys for a week as I have never done that, but it was a welcome break and I enjoyed myself as did they! They finally got to spend some time at Uncle Jared and Aunt Tammy's without Mommy and Daddy around!
I am busy this evening as well but needed to update Kinleigh's accomplishment of pulling to stand up! She learned to pull to standing position holding my fingers while we were in Missouri the week of June 14-19th and it's taken her a month to do it on something other then our hands. I can handle a another month or two before she figures out cruising ;) I'd love to have a late walker this time around even if she is my chunka munka baby!
