Ever wish you didn't get to say "I told you so"?

Soooo Usually when you tell someone "I told you so" it's with great satisfaction that you're correct about whatever it was you told them. Unfortunately for me I can now say I am NOT pleased to say the words "I told you so". This evening I was telling Steven that we really need to get Kaeden a haircut as it's just shaggy as ever. He informed me he could do it himself with James' clippers no problem. They're great clippers, have the best guides and it'll be so easy to just cut his hair really quickly. I argued with him about this for about 30min and finally told him to go for it if he really thought he could do it but I was very concerned about the outcome and did NOT want my son to have a buzz cut. He reassured me it would be no problem and called Kaeden to the kitchen. Immediately Kaeden began crying that he did not want his hair cut and carrying on. I told Daddy that the lady that cut his hair last time had a hard time doing it and she was a PROFESSIONAL and I did NOT think this was a good idea. Once again he told me it would go fine and I think his feelings were getting hurt that I was so doubtful..... Well, I was right. As I knew I would be... Kaeden's hair has been butchered. It's long long long on top, shaved super short on the sides only, looks like he's going for a mohawk in the back. Not to mention Kaeden screamed bloody murder through the whole ordeal. *sigh* they say Mommy Knows Best for a reason ya know ;)
Steven promises me tomorrow he'll take a lunch and Kaeden and him will go get this little problem fixed at the hair salon. I sure hope this is true! We're going to Chuck E Cheese this weekend and I do not want all of the pictures of Kaeden's 2nd time at CEC to have this butcher cut!!! I hear Steven and Kaeden talking in the bathroom and he just said "I should have listened to your mom... Mom told me.. (and I can't hear the rest) LOL". This is one of those moments I was really hoping I would not have the opportunity to say those 4 little words that are usually so satisfying.

Onto other things. Kai went in and had blood drawn yesterday morning for his appt with the GI doc. He was a trooper and didn't even cry for the first blood draw. The 2nd one he cried for about 5 seconds and then was a little tough guy the rest of the time sitting quietly while they took a ton of blood! Not sure what all they are testing for but I hope they figure something out for me!! I still think I'm right and it's food allergies. I'm down to eating only peas, oatmeal, rice cakes, rice, apples, potatoes and carrots. It's a boring diet but Kai seems to be doing MUCH better! His fussiness has eased up a ton, he actually smiles when we talk to him now and can be entertained without a boob in his mouth ;) It's awesome. He's still pooping liquid but it's down from 5-10 times a day to 1-3-5 times a day.

Steven's now sweeping the kitchen... asking me... "So did you learn your lesson Jen?" The nerve of this guy~! LOL He's lucky I don't take those clippers and do some serious damage to him ;)

Well gotta get going now, Kai is starting to grump and still have to pump for bottles tomorrow!!!
