Time for another update :) yes Grandma I know you want pictures but I can't post them until I upgrade and pay for picturetrail again :p The ones that already were posted will probably disappear shortly also FYI.
We had the girls this weekend and things went pretty smoothly. I had a little talk with Steven and told him that when they get here on Friday night we need to be the big bad meanies and buckle down on them Fri night instead of waiting until we're totally frustrated with them Sun afternoon and are screaming nonstop after screaming all weekend. Well it seemed to work. Fri night when Triniti decided to watch TV and ignore the fact she was supposed to be helping kaeden and Tatum clean the bedroom I calmly took her to our bedroom and put her in Kaeden's car bed for a time out in the dark room. She did not like that one bit but guess what? When she got out after a whole 2min she went in and those kids cleaned the room like they were supposed to! They also managed to play together nicely almost all weekend until Sun afternoon when they all started getting tired and testy. MUCH nicer then having them testy all weekend long! This is a trend that I plan to continue!!!! And the kids don't even hate me for it! I am always afraid as the "stepmother" that they'll think I'm mean etc as I am usually the disciplinary for alllll the kids (steven is just one of the kids most the time LOL) But even after the time out episode and me being gone most of the day Sat with Kailer at a craft show and shopping the girls ran up to me gave me giant hugs and told me they missed me. Sure made me feel good! We rented movies for the first time in a very long time. We rented "A lot like Love" and "The Interpretur". First one was awesome, second one sucked and we both fell asleep during it! Rented "robots" and "because of winn dixie" for the kiddos. They seemed to like them fine. I watched Winn Dixie last night and thought it was cute but kinda boring for little kids.
Kailer is doing great. His face is looking much better. Still bumpy here and there but as soon as the bumps start to show up I just slather on the aquaphor and he seems to clear up and get smooth again. not baby butt smooth but smoother then the alligator skin he had before!! He's starting to shed his hair once again but he's still not bald like his big brother was at this age. We had his 2mo appt last Thurs when he was 8weeks1day. I found out that yes he does have excema confirmed by his regular doc, he probably does not have a milk allergy like I questioned as babies usually lose weight and have diarrhea if it's a true allergy and my little guy was up to 11lb4oz~!! he was 22in long and 15 1/2in head. I also questioned my babies butt crack. Sounds weird I know but Kailer has 2 cracks!! It starts as one but at the very top it splits off into a Y shape. Yup his buttcrack looks like this -----> Y LOL Doc said it's probably just the way his skin folds and all is normal down there. He also pointed out that Kailer has a mongolian spot. what a horrible mom that I never noticed the giant bruise looking thing on my babies butt!!!! Sheesh... Luckily it's not very dark and will hopefully go away by 2-5yrs. Could have it for life but not usually. I've taken some pics of it in case it doesn't go away and the dr should have note of it so that no one can say Im beating my child! I did scare the crap out of Steven though, I got home from the dr and asked him how in the hell my baby got a giant bruise on his butt/back?!?! As I showed it to him he was looking so very confused.. I just laughed and told him to relax and explained what it was. His first thought was what did Kaeden do to Kailer!!! Kailer is also smiling up a storm when he feels like it now and starting to coo a bit. It's so cute. He's not looking like a newborn as much anymore, starting to grow into that gerber baby look. It's so sad how quickly they grow up!!!! He's also really started chewing/sucking on his fists and realizing how to get them into his mouth this weekend. It's so cute but then he drools all over his clothes. So one way or another his clothing is soaked either in baby drool or baby puke. Yup he's still spitting up after every meal and sometimes it's a lot. I keep asking the dr's about it and he said that babies especially boy babies tend to spit up and as long as it's not projectile that it should be fine. It really worries me when he spits up and chokes on it though. I hope the doc is right and he doesn't have reflux or anything like that but sometimes I wonder if they're not passing it off too easily. He doesn't seem like it bothers him too badly which is why I am not pushing the issue at this time, he almost seems to LIKE spitting up as I think he tends to overeat a bit (he LOVES to suck and use me as a pacifier) so it relieves his overfull tummy.
Saturday afternoon after going to the craft show I took kai to Baby Naturally to check out prices of gripe water, slings, and baby booties. My little BIG FOOT can't fit into the newborn booties anymore. Kaeden wore size 0 until he was 4mo old or so but Kailer has outgrown them... Amazing how different my two boys are yet how alike they are! I was able to try kailer out in a Maya wrap sling and I LOVE IT! I can't wait to get one!! Christy off my Aug 02 boards said she would send one that she makes to Kailer as a gift and I'm just dying to receive it!!! he LOVES to be worn and I do wear him in the pouch but I can't adjust it which kinda sucks when he gets wiggly. I also loved that the lady that ran the store gave me a few lessons with the baby so I learned some new positions to hold him in the sling and the pouch. Kailer loves being upright against my chest in the pouch, now if only I could tighten it we'd be onto something LOL I also can't wait to get the sling as then I can use the tail to cover up when he wants to eat! While at the store we checked out siome nursing clothes and almost fell over with shock. I found a hoodie that would be totally my style WAY cute and it's got the nursing slits but get this... the price.... $64!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I couldnt' believe it. They did have it on 50% off but I still can't afford that right now :( guess I'll keep pulling my t-shirts up and exposing my whole body. This is one reason it's so hard for me to bf in public is I hate exposing all my flab and it's difficult to cover up with a blanket. I want nursing clothing and a sling and then we can walk around nursing discreetly!!! Maybe I can talk my mom into helping me make a few nursing tops.
Onto Kaeden..... This boy will give me grey hair I just know it. Guess what he managed to do Fri night? He made his very first Ebay purchase~!! I had My Ebay opened up and he managed to click on a toy and the buy it now option and purchased it... I was watching this toy because I wanted to see how much it would actually sell for. If it sold for the asking price I wanted to go out and buy some from Walmart and resell them to make some $$$ For christmas. The toy I can get for 39.99 at Walmart here my son purchased for $48 plus shipping coming to a grand total of $66!!! I was so pissed!!! Thank GOD the seller was super nice and worked with me. I reimbursed him Ebay's final value fee and listing fees coming to a total of $3.5o and we both gave eachother positive feedback... PHEW. That was stressing me out so badly!!! That was his naughty deed of the weekend, now onto the nice/funny one.... Last night Kaeden was holding Kailer while I tried to scarf down dinner and he started fussing. Kaeden has been running around topless all day long BTW. Yes this matters in the story. Steven came into the room to take Kailer and started laughing. I looked over and Kaeden had laid kailer sideways and LATCHED HIM ONTO HIS BOOB LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kailer was sucking away and Kaeden was looking at him like a nursing mommy would.. I wish I was quick enough to get the camera before daddy took him!!!! Kaeden was just trying to make Kailer happy the way that he sees mommy do it all day long!! The strange thing was Kailer seemed content LOL Sooo we had to explain that Kaeden's boobies don't have milk in them like Mommy's do. I didn't want him to feel stupid but couldn't help dying with laughter at the same time. I think he was proud to make us laugh so hard ;) Kaeden loves telling people when kailer starts crying that his "baby brother eats mommies boobies".
Then this morning while I was on the phone with Aunt Lindsay kailer started fussing so Kaeden picked him up off the couch and took him to his bedroom to play. Kailer quiets right down when Kaeden picks him up, I think he likes his big brother. He was laying on Kaedens' bedroom floor perfectly content while Kaeden talked to him and watched "Go Diego Go". Then Kailer started fussing again so Kaeden picked him up and got onto the futon with him while bouncing him and "shhhhhh"ing in his ear to quiet him down. When that didn't work I asked him if he wanted Mommy to take him. He said "no mommy, go get me his pacifier". So I got the pacifier and Kaeden tried to quiet Kailer that way. Unfortunately it didnt' work as well as he wanted, so, he asked me to hold kailer while he put the pacifier in his mouth and then told me "See mom, he's not crying anymore. I want to hold him now" LOL He just loves being mommies little helper and Kailers awesome big brother. I think these two are going to be close :)
Well kailer is fussing in the swing, time to go feed him some of my boobies as kaeden would say ;) TTYL!
