Sat morning while waiting for Bill to show up us girls and Steven headed to a straw maze and pumpkin patch. It poured rain on us but the kids had a good time so that's all that matters right? Got a few cute pics that I am gonna post.
Kinleigh is a walker. She does not walk everywere she goes, but she likes to try! Baby girl amazes me daily. Who knew a baby could be so cute and happy and well behaved at the same time? I thought I just made cute ornery kids ;) I'm sure during the preteen/teen years I will not be thinking the same things, so I am just going to enjoy her while I can! LOL
I know she's growing up when I pulled out the totes today to start sorting out some fall/winter clothes for her wardrobe. I put her in an outfit for the first time this morning....... It's a cute 12mo carters outfit...... I remember very well getting it at her baby shower in Hermiston and thinking WOW it's HUGE, better put this one away for a loooong time... And now here she is wearing it and it's fitting like a glove :p
She officially has a word that I know she is saying. She says HI! And waves. It melted my heart when I walked in the door this weekend and she saw me and started walking towards me waving that arm saying HIIIII hIIIIII.
The boys had their eye appts in Redmond on Tuesday. Kaeden's eyes look great and he doesn't have to go back for another year! I am so glad we did that surgery for him :) Sucked at the time but well worth it! Kai's eyes however are not doing as well. His left eye is much weaker then his right eye. We are back to patching for 2hrs a day. He HATES patching. It's cause his left eye does not see well and it's frustrating for him. I am trying to explain that using the patch will give that eye more power! We have chore charts and allowance now so one of kai's chores is to wear that eye patch for 2hrs a day. He's getting better at it. Hopefully he'll stop fighting me on it soon! We have to go back in 1mo to get it checked out again. Such a long drive for such a short appointment. Frustrating but in the end it's what we gotta do for him!
Kaeden had his first conferences of the year last week as well. He's doing amazing in reading and math. Not so amazing in handwriting and paragraph writing. Something he needs to work on. Glad that i know now so I can remind him when he's doing his homework ;) One other thing he struggles with in school........ Talking to neighbors :p no idea where he could have inherited that trait?????? ;) Hoping he can get it under control as he has had to have his desk moved a time or two and now we're onto putting heads down if he can't stop. I guess it could be worse. They say what goes around comes around and this is my coming around for all the report cards that said Great Student, Joy to have in class, Talks to neighbors too much :p
So much more I could type but then my house would stay looking like a pig stye and I promised Sammy if I had my house cleaned up when we picked Kai up from school I would make the boys some homemade playdough this afternoon. So off to clean I go!
