Week 16

How time flies. I had planned on writing daily/weekly and it's just not happening, so I guess this will be another long update as long as the kids stay quiet and permit me to type.

I am now officially in my 17th week of pregnancy!!! I am 16weeks2days complete! I had my Dr appt on March 18th and was lucky enough to get another ultra sound. I waS 14 weeks pregnant and we tried to see the sex of the baby. Doc thought for a second he glimpsed a peepee as did Steven and I, but said that it was so quick and baby was so small he wouldn't say it was a boy or a girl at that point. Everything else looked wonderful and it felt so great to get to look at my lil bean. He/She is really looking like a baby now! I've got a face shot to show off here and will post it for all to see. Bean looks a bit like skeletor. I'm usually referring to Bean as HE as I have a gut feeling along with that u/s saying it's another little boy. In the pic Bean has his hand on his mouth, possibley sucking on fingers so he looks very skeletal!!! My next appointment is scheduled for April 15th to get measurements and HOPING that bean will show off proudly what he has or doesn't have between the legs! What a wonderful birthday present for me! :) I can't wait. Only 2 weeks to go.......

There is bean for you guys :)

Last weekend we went to my Grandma and Grandpa's in White Salmon for Easter weekend. It was a great weekend minus all the stinkin rain. W e really need it but it kind of sucked it had to happen that weekend. They cancelled the Easter Egg Hunt for the first time that I can ever recall, so the kids just got to see the Easter Bunny and get a handful of candies and an egg with a 50cent piece in it.

The Easter Bunny spoiled Kaeden and Lexus as usual and they had a wonderful time tearign into the baskets Sunday morning. Unfortunately shortly after Lexus got pretty sick and slept most of Sunday away with a little fever.
The weekend was a blast all in all. Uncle Scott took us all out to pizza Fri night where Kaeden really enjoyed playing with Lexus and cousin Aimee. Wow Aimee is looking and doing great. She's been battling anorexia for a year or two now but wasn't "diagnosed" until last fall or so. She was down to 72 lbs at her lowest and is now up to 86lbs and looking great. Her attitude is wonderful also. I've never seen her so happy as i saw her playing with Lex and Kaeden this weekend. Almost brought tears to my eyes. Kaeden fell in love with Aimee and probably would have gone home with her if I'd let her. It sucks that they live all the way in Canada now. They moved there a year before he was born so we don't get to see them all that often. Used to see them daily when they lived in Hermiston, so that was an adjustment.
Saturday night we all went bowling and had a blast once again. We were quite the group there in that bowling alley!!! Kaeden loves bowling and did pretty good but was starting to get tired and grumpy as we made it there a little on the late side. And while we were there I remembered "OH NO!!!!!!!!!" We forgot to color Easter Eggs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we colored them really late when we got home ;)

The Easter Bunny's Goodies for all the grandkids and great grandkids

Sunday morning opening Easter Baskets

Kaeden got an invitation to Blue's Clues LIVE in May, he's just going to love it!!

We finally left about 6pm Sunday night to make the drive home and got home around 10. All in all it was a great weekend. We also stopped on the drive down to look at the animals(similar to a zoo but it's free) and Kaeden got to see zebras, Santas reindeer and a camel came right up to the fence. He wasn't too sure about that camel being so close and wanted daddy to back up LOL Last year he got to see donkey's and feed one through the fence. I just love taking him there on our drive to Gma and Gpa Goodwin's. It's like our own little tradition.

This week I've been feeling pretty good. Until yesterday I'd been 4 days puke free... but yesterday morning and this morning that ended *ugh* oh well, once a day isn't so bad ;) I think I'm starting to feel bean bumping around a bit, but nothing definite yet. I feel little wiggles and bubbly feelings but when I try to concentrate on them they stop. I also try moving him around and poking at him like I did with Kaeden to get him to wiggle some more cause I want to feel it so badly, but he must be more calm then kaeden was cause he's not playing the game with me LOL This could be a blessing once he's born though!!!! I'm hoping in the next 2 weeks that I'll be able to feel him more often. I still listen to him daily and he's definitely in there be-bopping around! I love hearing that heartbeat as does Kaeden. Every night we listen to the baby. Kaeden turns the doppler on and then when we're done he turns it off. He also insists on wiping the gel off my tummy. Then we turn lights off and lay down to go to bed and Kaeden lifts my shirt up to "lay with the baby" which means he' s using me as a pillow LOL He also insists on kissing the baby a few time before he can fall asleep. I LOVE that he's starting to understand there is a baby in my tummy. I love that he wants to lay with the baby and kiss the baby now, as I'm hoping that there will be little to none jealousy once bean is born. My big fear now is that he'll insist on laying with and snuggling bean all the time and I don't want bean smothered! LOL Kaeden is still my puke buddy also and if I"m over the toilet, he's got an arm around my shoulders and usually spits once or twice in the toilet with me LOL He always flushes the toilet when I'm done and asks if I'm ok. Every once in awhile he'll plant a kiss on my cheek and run off.. It's just the sweetest thing, he's like my preggo partner ;) I'm really glad that he was older when I got pg again because I feel like he's "involved" with this pregnancy.
We were watching Life in the ER on Discovery channel 2 nights ago and the doctors had to do an ultra sound on this girls stomach to check for internal bleeding, Kaeden looks up and says "HEY!, that's MOMMA's baby" "Baby is on the computer" He totally remembered going to the ultrasound with me in March and seeing the baby on the compter screen, it floored me and made me want to cry it was so sweet. He knows baby is in my tummy, but he also realized that you can SEE the baby on that screen when the doc is doing an u/s. I didn't know if he really "understood" the u/s when he went with us in March, but I guess I underestimate my little man! He's growing up so fast.... *sigh*
Well I've done very well keeping up with the housework around here this week and don't want to start slacking today. SO if I want to nap with the kids this afternoon I'd better get off here and go clean my house and fold my clean laundry :)
