Slacking

Slacking is what I've been doing when it comes to this blog! I've been horrible about updating it, although the good news is since my last update I've made it to 12 weeks pregnant problem free!!!!

So what's new in my life? I went to my appointment a couple weeks ago and the Dr found the heartbeat right away just as I knew he would. I was hoping that he wouldn't find it cause I wanted another ultrasound. I told him let's skip the doppler and go for the ultrasound ;) He went ahead and searched with the doppler, found the hearbeat and told me if I wanted we could jump back for a quick ultra sound anyway if I wanted to. I of course said HECK YES!!! So we went back to the ultra sound room and took a glance at bean. Unfortunately I'd just emptied my bladder and he did an abdominal u/s so it was really hard to see anything. We saw basically a blob with a beating heart LOL I was 10 weeks for that ultra sound. When we were done with the u/s he asked if I had any other questions/concerns. I told him my heart seemed to pound harder and faster and was a bit worried about it. He immediately got me set up with a cardiologist appointment. I went in on a Wed and they hooked me up to a Holter Monitor. It was great fun having wires attatched all over my body for 24 hours to monitor my heart. Go figure I didn't really notice any "funky" things with my heart during that 24 hrs. I went and had it removed on Thursday and have my actual appointment with the cardiologist this Friday the 4th bright and early in the morning.

As for my preggo symptoms. I'm confused. Isn't 12 weeks when they start to subside? Guess not for me! I no longer am nauseous 24/7 but now I usually throw up 1-2 times a day or more. It's great fun. Although I've got the best little boy in the world when it comes to being sick. Whenever I make a run for the bathroom he chases me down and stands right next to me with his arm around my shoulder while I yack in the toilet. He asks me if I'm done yet? When I'm finally done and give him the yes answer he's looking for he will tell me "feel better momma" And flush the toilet for me. It's just too sweet. Now I've gotta teach him to hold my hair back and we'd be set LOL LOL LOL I'm starting to "show" finally also. I think it's about time to start taking belly shots. I know it's not a bunch of baby showing, but that baby is doing SOMETHING to me that is making me poke out quite a lot. Although some of that is bloating (horrible gas bloated feeling all the time) I started wearing maternity shirts this weekend cause it was so nice and warm out and my other regular shirts just don't look right anymore. When it's chilly I still can get away with my big hoodies and zip up jackets to cover most of the pudge ;) I'm still not feeling bean move around yet, although there have been a couple times I've wondered if the things I felt were bean bumping around in there. I think it's still gas though, as much as I'd like it to be bean...

With my doppler I've listened to bean almost daily. Not quite daily like I did with Kaeden as I am pretty sure with all my puking etc beans still safe and snug in there. I can tell that he/she is growing though. I used to have to search for 20-30minutes to find the h/b and now it usually takes less then 5min. Although there have been a few times where it's taken me longer and I could barely hear it. Just get up, walk around, have something to eat, lay down and try again and he/she has usually moved around enough that it's super easy to find and nice and loud! Love hearing that sound, but still want another u/s LOL I was looking at 12 week u/s pics on the net and my lil bean is really starting to look like a baby!!! I want to see that for myself!!!!!!!

Well I have gotta get going but will try to update a bit sooner next time ;)

Keep updating! :) You'll want to remember later.

As far as MS goes...for *most* women it goes away around week 13 or 14 but for a lot of women, it lingers. So sorry to hear that you still have it. Not fun at all!

And that's so exciting about heartbeat and u/s. My favorite part of the OB appointments!
