Summer seems to be arriving early this year!

So last year the chilly days stretched into June. This year we hit 90 yesterday in May!  A little on the hot side for me but I'd rather have a real summer and deal with the 90's then deal with 68 degrees mid june ;) Let's hope this trend continues!

Just wanted to type out a couple things that Kinleigh's been saying so I don't forget. Someday I'd like to read this and remember the crazy things my kids did and said and laugh!  A couple weeks ago I was on the couch watching TV and Kinleigh brought over her book of Justin Bieber.  She kept pointing at each photo and telling me "That's my Justin Bieber" turn the page and point again "That's My Justin!" over and over again... Then she says "I need my Justin to kiss me".  I looked at her and said "That's your Justin and you need him to kiss you?" She matter of factly nodded her head and said Yes........ OMG I'm in for it!  I had boyfriends in preschool and i have a feeling that's where she's heading! LOL She says she loves Justin and he's her boyfriend.  At least she has good taste, he is awfully cute ;) LOL

She has also decided that her Daddy's name is Uncle Steven.  If you ask her what's your Daddy's name she'll say Uncle Steven.  She informs us that he is her Daddy Uncle Steven.... LOL  The things kids come up with!

Kaeden has been doing great in school and had a wonderful report card.  I fear he too may be a little too much like his Momma though.  He had reading goals that needed met in order to get ice cream sundae's at school. His goal was to read 8 chapter books in 2 weeks.  The first week he read through his 4 books super quick no problem.  The 2nd week he was slacking and when we got down to Thursday I reminded him that he still had 2 books he needed to have read and tested on the next day and if he didn't read all night he wasn't going to make his goal.  I then backed off and told him it was his goal and his prize not mine that didn't get met if he didn't get them read so I was going to leave him alone about it.  Friday afternoon he comes home from school and informs me that he spent recess in reading and testing and he MADE HIS GOAL !  Yup another Mini Momma there.... putting off the work until the very last minute and then pulling it out of your behind and being successful at it! I'd say I was proud, but the problem is that only worked for me up through High School. I tried that tactic in college and it bit me in the ass ... I hope he doesn't end up getting bit as well!

Kai lost another tooth but it was a big ordeal. He let his front tooth hang for weeks and it was starting to discolor! Aunt Lindsay kept telling him it needed to come out and just let us pull it real quick. He was scared and said it would hurt and just kept running around with that thing dangling.  I tried to pull it and apparently I am not strong enough because all I did was cause him pain and make him MORE scared to pull that tooth.  I finally convinced him to let Auntie give it a try after she got home from work so that he could get extra money from the tooth fairy (My kids were informed by the dental family that a tooth pulled by a dentist or assistant is worth more money to the tooth fairy) and so we could have Mac n Cheese for dinner instead of something he didn't like.  Lindsay got here and he was still too scared to let him near his tooth.  Finally at the last minute as she was leaving he decided to let her give it a try. She popped it out super quickly with just a quick ouch and then he was SO PROUD of himself and his tooth being out he had to show everyone LOL  The tooth was so ready to come out that when he wiggled it we could see his adult tooth coming through.  The tooth fairy gave him $2.50 for that one tooth! He was excited and took that money to the book fair at school :)

Lindsay has a boyfriend, lindsay has a boyfriend, Lindsay has a boyfriend.  As a matter of fact so does Christina!  So both my friends are back in the world of dating. Christina is dating Bruce her neighbor and Steven and him have hit it off very well.  Lindsay is seeing a guy named Jeff from Moses Lake.  They met a few weeks ago and have hit it off. I hope for both of my friends that things turn out great.

My photoshoots have picked up finally. Gotta love good weather!  I did my very first big shoot last week! I had the opportunity to do class and individual pictures for Hosanna Preschool!  I am currently waiting for the orders to come in and crossing my fingers that I did the school order correctly!

Now onto pictures!

For Steven's birthday my Mom bought Social Distortion concert tickets. The concert happened to be on my birthday. I was skeptical about going to a punk concert, but being that Social D is my fav punk band I had hope... And I had a blast! We were in the front row the whole concert and it was just amazing :)

My kiddos at Uncle Joel's for Easter Weekend.

Striking a pose in his favorite shirt.

She thought mud puddles were amazing fun!

It wouldn't be Uncle Joel's house without a campfire!

As promised to Kailer, a ride in the motorhome.....

We went down to the campsite and the river. The kids had a blast.

Just love this picture.

As you can see all the kids found something to entertain them!

She was getting real brave wading into the river ;)

Egg hunt Olivas Style

The Easter Bunny snuck baskets onto the porch.

It's rare to get a smile out of this guy looking at my camera so even with a dirty face I love this picture!

One of the big weekend hits was to build sand castles around the fire......

After many years of talking about it, I FINALLY got to go to see the Freemont Troll :)  YAY  I've wanted to see it in person ever since I saw it in the movie 10 Things I Hate About You.  Mark that one off my bucket list ;)

On the bridge above the troll

And the troll lives on Troll Ave ;)

My kids having fun!

Just a snap of my lil lady watching TV snuggled in her super hero towel

And then she put her brothers shirt on and crashed on his bed!

Bathtime for the girls. Alexis wasn't too fond of Kinleigh pouring water over her head.

Best Buds in the tub :)
