The last day of 2010

And it's time to start a new year again!! Less then 24hours of 2010 left and heading into 2011.

It's been a good year. I am pleased. There have been ups and downs but my life is good, my family is healthy and happy, and we are blessed.

Kinleigh is doing MUCH better since her little trip in the ambulance to Wenatchee. She's also started a couple new things which I should make note of... She has discovered that she has a hole in her face. It is a nostril. And she thinks it is necessary to shove her finger up it over and over and over again. I wonder if she thinks it might not be there 5 seconds later when she tries again? Unfortunately she has now given herself nosebleeds twice since last night because of this new trick. She still isn't talking much. Surprising since both my boys talked quite a bit more then she does at this age. Her words to end 2010 with are...... Hi (said while holding a phone to her ear or looking under a door at a dog locked in a bedroom) Mama, Yeah (her first word, but she rarely uses it anymore!), I think she's saying Daddy when he comes home from work but that's about the only time, and I also think she's saying Doggie when looking for or finding Sally and Jinxi. All the rest of her vocabulary is this banshee like scream or grunt to get what she wants. She is definitely learning things though! She now throws stuff in the garbage when asked. (and when not asked) Yesterday after pulling towels out of the closet she also tried to put it back when I asked her to. She was unsuccessful, got angry, made a banshee grunt and threw it on the ground, but she tried! She is starting to carry around her babies and pat them on the back. Her favorite is her new Jessie doll she got for Christmas. She's also in love with her necklaces that came in her Stocking from Santa. She's always wearing them and it's super stinking cute! She is understanding what it means to be "soft" when petting dogs or smacking Momma in the face. At the Dr appt last Wed she weighed in at 19lb11oz. Lost a touch of weight while sick but that'll come back on in no time :) After having a grumpy miserable mess of a baby for a month now I'm pleased to announce she's back to normal! she's smiling and laughing and playing and pleasant again!!! I sure hope she stays this way now!!!! She's in love with her older siblings. Last night she wouldn't go to Daddy while Tate was holding her. She preferred big sis to Dad LOL

Kai is challenging but spunky but fun! We've been working on his attitude lately and somedays are better then others. He's doing great in preschool and has many friends! He's my social butterfly. Although a bit distracted............. LOL Hopefully he outgrows that as he moves on to kinder and 1st grade! we're still working on patching. I hate patching. Kai hates patching. But it must be done. He's due to be seen in jan or feb and I"m hoping there has been improvement in that left eye of his! We've been a bit slack on patching over Christmas break so yesterday we started back up !!!

Kaeden is kinda like my day and night kid. One minute he's eager to please, doing chores, listening, helping..... the next minute he's throwing a tantrum like a 2yr old because I *gasp* asked him to take a shower after three days without one!!!!!!! He reads like a pro, yet fights me to read his 20min. Why is this? I dunno but it's annoying. He's enjoying cub scouts and I am glad that he's gotten into something extra curricular. I ask if he wants to do sports and he says no... everyone else tells me to just enroll him and make him give it a try. Not quite sure what to do on that one. He is doing excellent in school, makes good grades, and is finally getting his talking under control ;) Wonder where in the world he could get that from? I NEVER talked too much in school!!!! Hahahahaha

Steven's brother gave us a suburban last month. Still waiting to get the dang thing into our name. I guess the wait will be worth it since it was a free suburban..... Frustrating though to have it sitting in our driveway and unable to drive it!! The great news is there are enough seatbelts and seats that when we have all the kids we can take ONE VEHICLE! As it stands in the minivan, when we have all 6 kids, we are one seat short to go anywhere as a family.

I have been slacking and I think I'm making myself depressed. I started smoking again :( I hate saying that out loud. I need to quit again. It's not easy for some dang reason???? Argh. It makes me feel like quite the loser and failure. I also have not been to the gym in 2months. gaining weight and being a smoker is making for becoming depressed I am sure of it. I guess with the new year literally 13hours away I should make myself a resolution to start taking care of ME again! We'll see how that works... it just seems mys chedule has been so busy and the kids have been sick that it has been tough to get to the gym. The longer I don't go to the gym the more I put it off because I know I won't be as fit as I was when I stopped going. it's a vicious circle! I start working on Tuesday already! I'm thinking that I might have to just start going in the evenings again after Steven gets home. Then sick kids are no excuse ;) Wish me luck as I need something!!!!

We had a great Christmas. We spent way too much money and the kids got almost everything they asked for! It felt great and was so fun to watch them open up their gifts :) The house looked like a bomb exploded when we were done but after a week of cleaning I feel things are normal and back in order again :) I was awoken by Kinleigh on Christmas Eve and heard something in the living room. Went out there and saw SANTA! So I snapped a couple pics as proof to show the kids. That was neato! We've had the girls here since Christmas eve and it's been great! The kids have gotten along unusually well for being together so long cooped up on the house due to cold nasty weather!! we also went to Steven's Moms house on Christmas Day for christmas lunch and got to see Uncle Tony and his family :) It's always nice to spend time with family :) I was sad to miss out on Christmas with my family, but there is always next year!!!

I have been working hard on learning my camera. I have my first real photo shoot coming up in 2 weeks and I really hope it goes well! Lindsays boss just had their first baby a few days ago. A little girl. HOW FUN!!!!!!!! I am not charging for the shoot. I cannot bring myself to let anyone pay me for pictures yet. If all goes well I may have 2 more newborn shoots in may and I might get to charge a little for them :) we'll see how confident I am feeling by then!
