Three months since update? Whoops!

So much has gone on since the end of Feb. Where do I start? Lindsay and her girls moved in the end of March. It's been crazy but cool. We always knew we'd live together eventually ;) Who knew it would be when we were all grown up rather then dorm roomates at college or something? lol When she moved here she joined the gym too so we go together regularly. My gym experience is getting better and better. It's so great to read how proud I was of myself at the gym for making it jogging 4min on the treadmill. I have no officially jogged 3 miles on the treadmill at 4.5MPH :) Took about 40min. Who would have thought I could do that? The weight is not falling off me but I am still plugging along. Things got tough shortly after Lindsay moved here. sydney's birthday party weekend kicked off almost a month straight of sickness here which was very frustrating and depressing. Easter weekend at my Moms house and 3 of the kids got the pukes and poops. Then lindsay got it. Then it passed back and forth and was never ending. Once those went away we ended up with fever chills and body aches. It was just terrible. Never so happy to have healthy family members as I was when we finally kicked the crud. Kai ended up getting chicken pox the first weekend of May and those lasted for almost 2 weeks but he did nto have them very bad. He had 2 vaccinations so it was a more mild case. I keep waiting for Kinleigh to come down with them but so far no signs of the pox in baby girl!
Speaking of baby girl. She is growing up on me! She is 6 1/2 months old. At her 6mo appt she was 15lb6oz 24" short. My girl gots thighs! Love the chub on her :) I always wanted a chubby baby and that I got. she's not huge but she's so short she can't help but be round ;) Third times a charm I suppose. I not only got my chubby baby but I got a happy content fun baby and I got my girl. Couldn't ask for more to make my family complete. She is so fun! She is so smiley. She sits in her bumbo and watches the world while laughing and smiling. The last 2 weeks she figured out how to sit like a champ and rock back and forth without losing balance. She is so funny and different from the boys. She whines and grumps before screaming and crying. She rubs her eyes and actually goes to sleep when tired rather then fighting sleep. She farts when she needs to fart and doesn't cry about it for hours on end. She's such a happy baby girl. She does not however give me laughs and smiles just because I want them. She likes to hide behind a smirk and make me work for the smiles and giggles. Yesterday she was smiling and laughing at me while I fed her which was adorable. She just started eating solid jars of food and loves them! She is pickier then the boys were at this age. She did not eat green beans. She LOVES her bananas.
Kai is testing me like crazy lately. I think he might be possesed. I was super excited that we got a spot at Hosanna Preschool the same school Kaeden went to. Starting this fall Kai will be in school Mon Wed and Fri and then every other Thurs we have MOPS. I am really hoping this helps him be a better person LOL I think he needs some stimulation and he's not getting it which is causing him to test and act out. He's got no jealousy of his baby sister. Quite the opposite. He drives me crazy being in her face so often. However he does pick on her on purpose and it makes me crazy. This is not jealousy cause he does it to me and Kaeden and the dogs as well. It's just not funny when he makes the baby mad because he's feeling ornery. It does not help that Kai is my short little man still. I called him an ethiopian as an infant and he's still my small guy. He's 37lbs 39". Still in his harnessed britax marathon. At this age Kaeden had to move out as he was pretty much ougrowing the carseat. Kai still has an extra slot to grow! Poor man will be harnessed through grade school at this rate LOL So being small and since he thinks he's a comedian we take for granted that he is almost 5yrs old and smart. we look at him and see a 3yr old cute kid and he uses it to his advantage. Time for us to get strict with him.
Kaeden is doing great. He's about to finish 1st grade. I cannot even believe it. He's doing so well in school. Grades are good and he gets along great with teachers and friends. No real issues which I am very thankful for! He was very proud of himself. He completed his 120 laps in junior joggers so he got a t-shirt :) He's turning into such a big man and is a great help. I love it.
Yesterday we attempted the Walk for Autism again. We tried this 2yrs ago and failed miserabley LOL so this year we decided to try the short route rather then the long route. It was only 1 1/2 miles round trip rather then 3miles round trip. It worked much better. We had the girls with us and Kinleigh on my back. Tatum ended up winning the bike raffle. It was great. We made it to the ribbon. Before the walk the kids got to bounce around in the inflatable toys at patrick park. I am excited to try it again next year. We shall see if we decide to go the long route or not at that point.
